The NAMA team has put together a robust morning of updates and education on rules and regulations that continue to be imposed on our industry. This is a critical opportunity to become educated on key legislative issues, along with action steps you can take to mitigate their effects on your business.

Government Affairs Symposium

How Federal Legislation May Be Impacting Your Business

Wednesday, 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.

It’s no secret that the vending industry has been besieged with a host of new regulations that directly impact your company’s bottom line. This session will specifically address those measures, as well as others impacting our industry, at the federal level and provide guidance for action.

Examples include the finalized rules on calorie disclosures, debit card fees and ADA accessibility requirements, some of which should be in place by the OneShow, allowing us to share the latest thinking on compliance. And we’ll provide key updates as needed on coins and currency, including paper currency redesign plans and how they may affect you.

Federal officials, lobbyists and industry experts from the Food and Drug Administration, Department of Justice and the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing have been invited to attend to help you understand how government “rules and regs” can impact your sales and profits, and offer actionable steps you can take to best tackle them.

State Council Breakfast

Wednesday, 7:00 - 8:30 a.m.

NAMA’s annual gathering of state association leaders, members and lobbyists will provide a forum for discussion on the wide-ranging issues impacting our industry on a state-by-state basis. From school nutrition to soda taxes to environmental issues, this session will be an opportunity to share emerging regional concerns with each other and guide NAMA staff on your legislative priorities.
